The Red Door Place

The Red Door Place at The Church of the Village, is our longstanding food ministry partner. Every month, volunteers from Grace Church visit The Red Door Place to prepare a meal for our Greenwich Village neighbors. We hold an ongoing food drive for The Red Door Place, with baskets for non-perishable food donations just inside the main doors of the church. Donations can be dropped off any time during opening hours. Each February, during Food Security Awareness Month, we take up collections for The Red Door Place through the Souperbowl of Caring, and we raise funds for The Red Door Place at various other events throughout the year. Contact the Rev. James Morton to learn more about how to get involved!

The GO Project

Founded by Grace Church and Grace Church School in 1968, The GO Project shapes the futures of low-income New York City public school children by providing critical academic, social, and emotional support starting in the early elementary years. GO provides year-round educational and family support services to children who are performing below grade level and equips them with the confidence and skills needed to succeed in school, at home, and in life. The GO Project serves over 600 students who attend over 30 public elementary and middle schools in Lower Manhattan. Grace Church parishioners volunteer at tutoring days throughout the year. Please contact the Rev. James Morton if you would like to sign up as a tutor.

Hospitality

Is hospitality your forte? Would you like to help put on parish events? If so, the Hospitality Guild wants your help! Throughout the year, Grace Church puts on many special events and opportunities for table fellowship. At parish dinners, summer cookouts, and other festive receptions, the Hospitality Guild helps set the table, lay the buffet, and extend the church’s hospitality to members and newcomers alike. If you would like to be on the list of people we reach out to when we need hospitality volunteers, please contact Travis Kenendy.
